If the device will not turn on after attempting the previous troubleshooting methods, you may have to force a complete wipe of the Pearl's data using your BlackBerry's Desktop Manager Software. If you do not have the software, you can download it from BlackBerry's website (see Resources). Run the BlackBerry Desktop Software and plug the Blackberry into your computer using the Pearl's USB cable. Click "Device" and click "Delete Data." Click "Clear Data" from the menu that opens. Click "All Data." Click the "Back up data before deleting" box in order to save your Pearl's data before deletion and click "Delete." The software wipes your BlackBerry Pearl.
